<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "I have inspired My Word so that you will be furnished for all good works"

He promises me:
  "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished for all good works". (2 Tim. 3:16,17)

My response to the word:
  The Bible is the foundation of my life. It is inspired by God so that I might grow spiritually. God is perfecting me through His Word so that I might be better prepared to do good works for Him. The Bible is a book of prayers, answers and promises. I will walk in the light of God's Word throughout this day.

My prayer:
  Lord, thank you for your Word and for the doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness it provides for me. Help me to walk in your Word today.

Today's scriptures:
 "Do your best to present yourself to God as a tried-and-true worker who is not ashamed to teach the word of truth correctly". (2 Tim. 2:15 GW) "He must be devoted to the trustworthy message we teach. Then he can use these accurate teachings to encourage people and correct those who oppose the Word". (Titus 1:9 GW) "God's Word is living and active. It is sharper than any two-edged sword and cuts as deep as the place where soul and spirit meet". (Hebr. 4:12 GW)

Quote for today:
I know the Bible is inspired because it inspires me. (D L Moody)

On this day:
On 2nd September 1884, Frank C. Laubach was born at Benton, Pennsylvania. He became a Congregational missionary to the Philippines where he developed his famous "each one teach one" method of obliterating literacy. This method has been copied around the world by many mission boards in varying forms. He died in 1970, in Syracuse, New York at age 85 years.
