<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "Ask and it will be given you".

He promises me:
  "Ask and it shall be given you: seek and you shall find: knock and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asks receives: and he that seeks finds: and to him that knocks it shall be opened". (Matt. 7:7,8)

My response to the word:
  The initials of ask, seek, and knock spell ASK - a helpful acronym that I will remember throughout this day as I ask, seek, and knock for those things I have need of. God promises me that when I ask for something (in accord with His will) He will give it to me. He says that if I will seek I will find, and when I knock the door will be opened. I realize that asking is a key to praying and receiving.

My prayer:
  Lord, thank you for the promises you have attached to asking, seeking, and knocking. Help me to remember to do these three things throughout this day.

Today's scriptures:
 "That's why I tell you to have faith that you have already received whatever you pray for; and it will be yours". (Mark 11:24 GW) "If you ask me to do something, I will do it". (John 14:14 GW) "Dear friends, if our conscience doesn't condemn us, we can boldly look to God and receive from him anything we ask". (1 John 3:21,22 GW)

Quote for today:
Attempt great things for God and expect great things from God. (William Carey)

On this day:
