<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "When you pray, believe that you have received what you have asked for, and I will give it to you"

He promises me:
  "What things you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them". (Mark 11:24)

My response to the word:
  Jesus gives this powerful prayer promise in the context of His teaching on the importance of faith. He said, "Have faith in God". Then He goes on to show that mountain-moving faith is possible for every believer. Throughout this passage He cautions us not to doubt, but to believe. Throughout this day I will believe God and His Word.

My prayer:
  Lord, thank you for the prayer promise that says you will grant my prayer requests when I pray in faith. With faith in my heart I now ask you for ……………………………………………………………………

Today's scriptures:
 "As far as possibilities go, everything is possible for the person who believes". (Mark 9:23 GW) "When you ask for something, don't have any doubts. A person who has doubts is like a wave that is blown by the wind and tossed by the sea". (James 1:6 GW)

Quote for today:
Our praying needs to be pressed with an energy that never tires, a persistency which will not be denied, and a courage which never fails. (E M Bounds)

On this day:
On 7th October 1810, Henry Alford, Anglican scholar, was born in London. His early years were spent with his widowed father in his Church in Steeple Ashton, Wiltshire. He became Dean at Canterbury Cathedral.. He was a member of the 1881 ERV Bible translation committee, but is better remembered today for writing the hymn "Come, Ye Thankful People, Come."

"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
