<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "I give you authority over the enemy"

He promises me:
  "Behold I give you authority (power) to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you". (Luke 10:19)

My response to the word:
  Jesus has delegated authority to me for spiritual warfare. His authority enables me to conquer the enemy and keeps me from harm. He tells me to resist the devil and he will flee from me. My weapons are the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, and the Word of God.

My prayer:
  Lord, you are all-powerful. You are Almighty God. Thank you for imparting your power to me.

Today's scriptures:
 "These are the miraculous signs that will accompany believers: They will use the power and authority of My name to force demons out of people. They will speak new languages. They will pick up snakes, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them. They will place their hands on the sick and cure them". (Mark 16:17,18 GW) "Also take salvation as your helmet and the Word of God as the sword that the Spirit supplies". (Eph. 6:17 GW) "So place yourselves under God's authority. Resist the devil and he will run away from you". (James 4:7 GW) "They won the victory over him because of the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony". (Rev. 12:11 GW)

Quote for today:
Satan trembles when he sees the weakest saint upon his knees. (William Cowper)

On this day:
On 8th October 1914. Robert Pierce was born in Dodge, Iowa. Ordained in 1940, he became a world missionary whose ministry took him to the Philippines, Korea and Japan. Compassion for the suffering he saw in Asia led him to found World Vision International in 1950, a world-wide relief agency.
