Today God says:
"I am your peace".
He promises me:
"The Lord will bless His people with peace". (Ps.29:11)
My response to the word:
In Christ, I have found a peace that surpasses all understanding. It is a peace that the world cannot give, and neither can the world take it away from me. I remember that Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid".
My prayer:
Lord, thank you for blessing me with your peace through your Word and your Spirit. I believe you have given me your peace. I will walk in your peace throughout this day.
Today's scriptures:
"With perfect peace you will protect those whose minds cannot be changed, because they trust you". (Isa. 26:3 GW) "Then God's peace, which goes beyond anything we can imagine, will guard your thoughts and emotions through Christ Jesus". (Phil. 4:7 GW) "Let Christ's peace control you. God has called you into this peace by bringing you into one body. Be thankful". (Col. 3:15 GW)
Quote for today:
The better you become acquainted with God, the less tensions you feel and the more peace you possess. (Charles Allen)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".

On 5th January 1527, Swiss Anabaptist reformer Felix Manz, at the age of 29 years, was drowned in the River Liemat in Zurich in punishment for preaching adult baptism. Manz's death made him the first Protestant in history to be martyred at the hands of other Protestants.
