Today God says:
"You can do all things through Me".
He promises me:
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". (Phil. 4:13)
My response to the word:
There is no mountain too high and no valley too low for me to face when I walk in the empowerment God provides for me. I believe the words of Jesus who said, "I am the vine, you are the branches. He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing".
My prayer:
Dear Lord, you enable me to handle every task and challenge of my life. I know that nothing can happen today that you and I cannot handle together. I place my trust in you. I will be strong in you, Lord, and in the power of your might. You are the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Thank you, Master.
Today's scriptures:
"Being united with God is my highest good. I have made the Almighty Lord my refuge so that I may report everything that He has done". (Ps. 73:26 GW) "The Lord Almighty is my strength. He makes my feet like those of a deer. He makes me walk on the mountains". (Heb. 3:19 GW) "My kindness is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak". (2 Cor. 12:9 GW) "Receive your power from the Lord and from His mighty strength". (Eph. 6:10 GW)
Quote for today:
We have all eternity to celebrate our victories, but only one short hour before sunset in which to win them. (Robert Moffat)

On 6th January 1850, the 15 year old Charles Spurgeon was unable to get to his Church due to a blizzard. He ducked into a Primitive Methodist Church where only a few people were standing around a stove. Not even the preacher arrived. A thin-looking man stood and read "Look unto me and be ye saved". He spied the young Charles, and pointed to him. Charles did look to Jesus and was saved.
