<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "I will deliver you if you will call upon My name".

He promises me:
  "And it shall come to pass, that whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered". (Joel 2:32)

My response to the word:
  God promises to deliver everyone who calls upon His name. The word 'deliverance' denotes taking someone from one place to a new place. It also suggests a transformation, a rescue, and a transaction that results in freedom. The Lord has delivered me from sin, Satan, fear, evil, and all things that hold me back from spiritual progress. He is a mighty Deliverer!

My prayer:
  O God, my Deliverer, thank you for setting me free. I will walk in the Promised Land of your victory throughout this day.

Today's scriptures:
 "Rescue me from my enemies, O Lord. I come to you for protection". (Ps. 143:9 GW) "He has sent me to heal those who are broken-hearted, the announce that captives will be set free and prisoners will be released". (Isa. 61:1 GW) "In order to free us from this present world, Christ took the punishment of our sins". (Gal. 1:4 GW)

Quote for today:
Fear knocked at the door. Faith answered. No one was there. (Inscription at Hinds Head Inn)

On this day:
On 1st October 1883, American churchman A. B. Simpson founded the first school in America to train missionaries, in New York City. Called the Missionary Training Institute in 1894, its name was changed to Nyack College in 1972.
