Today God says:
"Pray for those in authority so that you can live a quiet and peaceful life".
He promises me:
"I exhort, therefore, that first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour". (1 Tim. 2:1-3)
My response to the word:
God wants me to lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty. He shows me that this will be possible if I will intercede faithfully on behalf of those in authority. He also wants me to be thankful for my leaders. I will remember to pray for those in positions of leadership at all levels of government, in the local church, in my workplace, and elsewhere. Truly, I am thankful for each one of them.
My prayer:
Father, thank you for those you have placed in positions of authority. Bless them , guide them, and draw them closer to you. I intercede now for
..
Today's scriptures:
"He sees that there's no one to help. He's astonished that there's no one to intercede". (Isa. 59:16 GW) "The Spirit intercedes along with our groans that cannot be expressed in words. The One who searches our hearts knows what the Spirit has in mind. The Spirit intercedes for God's people the way God wants Him to". (Rom. 8:26,27 GW)
Quote for today:
There is nothing that makes us love a man so much as praying for him. (William Law)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
