Today God says:
"Without faith it is impossible to please Me"
He promises me:
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him". (Hebr. 11:6)
My response to the word:
My God is a living God. My greatest desire is to please Him. I believe in Him and in His Word, and I also believe that He wants to reward my faith. Throughout this day, therefore, I will diligently seek Him. The Bible says, "Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lion, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, were valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens ...". I will walk in the power of faith throughout this day.
My prayer:
Lord, increase my faith as I seek you and study your Word. Thank you for rewarding my faith.
Today's scriptures:
"So faith comes from hearing the message, and the message that is heard is what Christ spoke". (Rom. 10:17 GW) "Then, instead of being lazy, you will imitate those who are receiving the promises through faith and patience". (Heb. 6:12 GW) "When you ask for something, don't have any doubts. A person who doubts is like a wave that is blown by the wind and tossed by the sea". (James 1:6 GW) "The purpose of these troubles is to test your faith as fires tests how genuine gold is. Your faith is more precious than gold, and by passing the test, it gives praise, glory, and honour to God". (1 Peter 1:7 GW)
Quote for today:
Sight is not faith, and hearing is not faith, neither is feeling faith; but believing when we neither see, hear, nor feel is faith. (Hannah Whitall Smith)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
