<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "I am rich in mercy and love for you".

He promises me:
  "But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ (by grace you are saved)". (Eph 2:4,5)

My response to the word:
  My Father is rich in mercy and love for me. What a tremendous thought that is! He loved me even when I was dead in sin, loved me so much that He brought me to life in Christ. How thankful I am for His great salvation. "For by grace you are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Not by works, lest any man should boast".

My prayer:
  Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul. Thank you, Lord, for making me whole. I give my life to you.

Today's scriptures:
 "God saved you through faith as an act of kindness. You had nothing to do with it. Being saved is a gift of God". (Eph. 2:8 GW) "He saved us, but not because of anything we had done to gain His approval. Instead, because of His mercy He saved us through the washing in which the Holy Spirit gives us new birth and renewal". (Titus 3:5 GW)

Quote for today:
People are to be loved; things are to be used. (Reuel Howe)

On 29th October 1919, A B Simpson died in New York aged 75 years. Born in Prince Edward Island, Canada, he became a preacher and teacher and founded the Christian & Missionary Alliance, dedicated to reaching the world for Christ. Much of his Christ-centred teaching and missionary emphasis lives on in his many books still available.
