Today God says:
"If you ask anything in the name of Jesus, I will do it".
He promises me:
And whatever you shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you shall ask anything in My name, I will do it". (John 14:13,14)
My response to the word:
Jesus gives me the privilege of using His highly exalted name when I pray. The authority of His name represents everything Jesus is and has. He has given me the "power of attorney" to use His name when I petition the Father for my needs. Paul wrote, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus: Who gave Himself a ransom for all".
My prayer:
Lord, thank you for the power of Jesus' name, and for permitting me to use His name when I pray. I will walk and pray in the power of Jesus' name throughout this day.
Today's scriptures:
"You didn't choose Me, but I chose you. I appointed you to go, to produce fruit that will last, and to ask the Father in My name to give you whatever you ask for". (John 15:16 GW) "Peter said to him, 'I don't have any money, but I'll give you what I do have. Through the power of Jesus Christ from Nazareth, walk". (Acts 3:6 GW)
Quote for today:
Those who would bring great things to pass must rise early. (Matthew Henry)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
