Today God says:
"I am love".
He promises me:
"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God, and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God." (1 John 4:7,8)
My response to the word:
God is love, and He wants love to have the supreme place in my life. Love is the most excellent way. It is the highest law. Today I will walk in love, because I know the truth of Jesus' words, "By this shall all men know that you are My disciples, if you have love one to another".
My prayer:
Heavenly Father, I know you are love, and you want me to walk in love. Let your love fill me so that it will overflow to everyone I see today.
Today's scriptures:
"I'm giving you a new commandment: Love each other in the same way that I have loved you. Everyone will know that you are My disciples because of your love for each other". (John 13:34,35 GW) "Imitate God, since you are the children He loves. Live in love as Christ also loved us. He gave His life for us as an offering and sacrifice, a soothing aroma to God". (Eph. 5:1,2 GW)
Quote for today:
The reason for loving God is God Himself, and the measure in which we should love Him is to love Him without measure. (St Bernard of Clairvaux)
On this day:
