Today God says:
"Meditate upon My Word, and I will bless you with prosperity".
He promises me:
"This Book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make you way prosperous, and then you shall have good success". (Josh. 1:8)
My response to the word:
God's Word is life to me. I will meditate upon it, speak it, and live it throughout this day. God promises me that if I will do these things, He will make my way prosperous and give me success. This coincides with what the Psalmist wrote, "But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law he meditates day and night: And He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water .... and whatever he does shall prosper".
My prayer:
Heavenly Father, I love you with all my heart. Thank you for your promise of prosperity and success. I will meditate upon your Word and do it throughout the day.
Today's scriptures:
"Blessed is he who delights in the teachings of the Lord and reflects on His teachings day and night… He succeeds in everything he does". (Ps. 1:2,3 GW) "I want to reflect on your guiding principles and study your ways". (Ps. 119:15 GW) "Practice these things. Devote your life to them so that everyone can see your progress". (1 Tim. 4:15 GW)
Quote for today:
Beware of reasoning about God's Word - obey it. (Oswald Chambers)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
