<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "I will give you grace and glory".

He promises me:
  "For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good things will He withhold from them that walk uprightly". (Ps. 84:11)

My response to the word:
  God will not withhold any good things from me. He is my sun and my shield, and He promises to give me grace and glory. His amazing grace astounds me as I reflect upon His promise, "For you, Lord, will bless the righteous; with favour you will compass him as a shield".

My prayer:
  Thank you, Father, for your loving grace. By faith, I receive all that your grace offers me. May your grace and your glory rest upon me.

Today's scriptures:
 "You bless righteous people, O Lord. Like a large shield, you surround them with your favour". (Ps. 5:12 GW) "They receive God's approval freely by an act of His kindness through the price Christ Jesus paid to set us free from sin". (Rom. 3:24 GW) "God saved you through faith as an act of kindness. You had nothing to do with it. Being saved is a gift of God". (Eph. 2:8 GW)

Quote for today:
He who has most grace is most conscious of his need of more grace. (Charles Spurgeon)

On this day:
On 26th December 1887, Charles Brandon Booth, American social reformer and head of the Volunteers of America, was born. Booth was the grandson of Salvation Army founder William Booth.
