Today God says:
"I am the God of patience and consolation".
He promises me:
"Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus". (Rom. 15:5)
My response to the word:
God is the God of patience and consolation, and He wants me to be like-minded toward other believers in the way Christ outlined. Patience comes from my heavenly Father, and so does consolation - a strong form of comfort. Through the power of God I will walk in patience throughout this day, because I know it will strengthen my spirit, sweeten my disposition, stifle my anger, subdue my pride, and bridle my tongue.
My prayer:
Thank you, Father, for the patience and comfort that your Word gives to me through your Spirit. Help me to walk in patience all day long.

On 15th September 1510, Catherine Odorno died at Pammatone, Italy at the age of 62 years. Born in Genoa, Italy she spent most of her life caring for termally ill patients at the Pammatone hospital, where she became matron. She continued nursing until the last three years of her life when she was also seriously ill.
