<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "I will answer your prayers".

He promises me:
  "He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him My salvation". (Ps. 91:15,16)

My response to the word:
  I know the Lord hears me when I call to Him in prayer. I know He wants me to pray and to seek His face. He promises me that He will answer my prayers if I use the keys to answered prayer He has provided for me in His Word. Throughout this day I will remember that if I get too busy to pray, I'm too busy. I will pray without ceasing.

My prayer:
  Lord God, thank you for the direct access to you that prayer provides for me. I love to pray and to seek your face, and I will pray without ceasing throughout this day, realizing that you will answer my prayers when I pray according to your will as it is revealed in your Word.

Today's scriptures:
 "Have faith that you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer". (Matt. 21:22 GW) "Never stop praying ". (1 Thess. 5:17 GW) "The Lord's eyes are on those who do what He approves. His ears hear their prayer". (1 Peter 3:12 GW) "Therefore practice self-control, and keep your minds clear so that you can pray". (1 Peter 4:7 GW)

Quote for today:
Prayer is the key of the morning and the bolt of the evening. (Matthew Henry)

On this day:
On 2nd February 1910, Paul White was born in Bowral, Australia. A frail child, he was continuously troubled with life- threatening chronic asthma. Paul was converted to Christ on December 3, 1926, and studied medicine at Sydney University. In 1937 he loyally married his sweetheart although she had developed chronic mental depression. Called to minister in Tanganyika, God used him marvelously as both a doctor and a missionary. However, the illness of his wife forced him to return home in 1942. On shipboard he began writing the stories which became the famous children's Jungle Doctor books.
