Today God says:
"I am the living God".
He promises me:
"As the Lord lives, even what my God says, that will I speak". (2 Chron. 18:13)
My response to the word:
I serve a living God. The empty tomb is proof that Jesus is alive. His Word is a living Word, and I will speak His Word to myself, to those around me, and to every situation that comes my way. "The Word is near you, even in your mouth, and in your heart; that is, the word of faith which we preach".
My prayer:
Father, you are the living God. I know that you are always at work in my life. I will hide your Word in my heart, and I will speak it forth at every opportunity. I will meditate in your Word for it is quick, it is alive, and it is powerful, Thank you for all the precious promises of your Word.
Today's scriptures:
"I have treasured your promise in my heart so that I may not sin against you". (Ps. 119:11 GW) "Besides, we believe and know that you are the Holy One of God". (John 6:69 GW) "God's Word is living and active". (Heb. 4:12 GW)
Quote for today:
The promise is longer than life, broader than sin, deeper than the grave, and higher than the clouds. (Charles Spurgeon)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".

On 28th February 1513, John Knox was born at Giffordgate, Scotland. In 1536 he was ordained as a Catholic priest, but five years later he experienced a conversion through the preaching of George Wishart. At one time he was a "slave" sentenced to row in a French galley. But he was always a leader, often with more power than the throne. His vision brought revival to his native land and firmly established the Presbyterian Church.
On 28th February 1865, Wilfred T Grenfell was born in Parkgate, Chester. He qualified as a Doctor and in 1888 joined the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen. In 1892 he left England to start a pioneer medical service to fishermen of Labrador and Newfoundland. He set up five hospitals and seven nursing stations along the Labrador coast, and was a Doctor, Master Mariner, Geographer and Missionary. He died in Charlotte, Vermont, in 1940 at the age of 75 years.
