<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "Have faith in Me".

He promises me:
  "Jesus answered them, 'Have faith in God". (Mark 11:22)

My response to the word:
  God imparts faith to me through His Word. He commands me to have faith in Him. Therefore, I must absorb His Word on every opportunity. His Word builds mountain-moving faith in my heart. His Word imparts a faith that works. His Word tells me, "Whatever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them".

My prayer:
  Lord, let the richness of your Word soak into me. I believe your promises and I will act accordingly throughout this day.

Today's scriptures:
 "I tell you to have faith that you have already received whatever you pray for, and it will be yours". (Mark 11:24 GW) "So faith comes from hearing the message, and the message that is heard is what Christ spoke". (Rom. 10:17 GW) "Our faith is what wins the victory over the world". (1 John 5:4 GW)

Quote for today:
Obedience is the fruit of faith. (Christina Rossetti)

On this day:
On 21st December 1795, Robert Moffat was born in Ormiston, Scotland. Converted at 17, he soon showed an interested in missions. In 1816 the London Missionary Society reluctantly sent him to Cape Town, South Africa, believing him to be unqualified. Four years later, he married Mary Smith, who had come there from London. The couple settled at Kuruman in Bechuanaland in 1825, where they established their headquarters for the next 45 years of mission work. Moffat and his wife served as missionaries until failing health forced their retirement in 1870. While on the field, Moffat translated the Bible into Sechvana. He also authored a hymn book and published two missionary textbooks on South Africa.
