Today God says:
"Do not forsake My mercy and truth"
He promises me:
"Let not mercy and truth forsake you: bind them about your neck; write them upon the table of your heart. So shall you find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man". (Prov. 3:3-4)
My response to the word:
I know that God's mercy and truth will never forsake me if I continue to seek them. I will hide God's Word of truth in my heart so that I will not sin against Him. Throughout this day I will remember the Psalmist's words, "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever".
My prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me to bind your mercy and truth to my life and to keep them in my heart. I claim your promise of favour and good understanding in your sight and the sight of men.
Today's scriptures:
"Certainly, goodness and mercy will stay close to me all the days of my life, and I will remain in the Lord's house for days without end". (Ps. 23:6 GW) "I have treasured your promise in my heart so that I may not sin against you". (Ps. 119:11 GW) "Whoever pursues righteousness and mercy will find life, righteousness and honour". (Prov. 21:21 GW)
Quote for today:
Always tell the truth. Then you don't have to worry about what you said last. (Robert Cook)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".

He was the first to print music, use Anglo-Saxon type, and to make Roman and italic type on the same line of print. His son, Richard, carried on the family business of publishing quality Bibles and Christian materials for England and the world.
