<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "Keep My commandments and I will love you"

He promises me:
  "He that has My commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves Me, and he that loves Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him and will manifest myself to him". (John 14:21)

My response to the word:
  God gives me His commandments because He loves me. The commandments are not in place in order to make life more difficult or unpleasant, but they serve to protect me and lead me into happiness. With the help of His Spirit, I will obey God at all times. I realize that delayed obedience is the brother of disobedience, so I will be sure to take every opportunity to obey this day.

My prayer:
  Lord, lead me and empower me so that I will keep your commandments at all times. Thank you for loving me, being with me and manifesting yourself to me.

Today's scriptures:
 "Love each other as I have loved you". (John 15:12 GW) "But whoever obeys what Christ says is the kind of person in whom God's love is perfected". (1 John 2:5 GW) "Love means that we live by doing what He commands. We are commanded to live in love, and you have heard this from the beginning". (2 John 6 GW)
