Today God says:
"I will be your confidence"
He promises me:
"Do not be afraid of sudden fear; neither of the desolation of the wicked when it comes. For the Lord shall be your confidence and shall keep your foot from being taken". (Prov. 3:25-26)
My response to the word:
I've placed my life in the Lord's hands. Therefore, I have no reason to fear anyone or anything. The Lord is my confidence, and I know He will protect me at all times. Today I will walk in the confidence of the Lord. I have complete confidence in the Lord, and I know that no weapon that is formed against me will prosper.
My prayer:
Lord, thank you for being my confidence and my strength. Throughout this day I will walk in complete confidence because of you.

On 29th July 1833, William Wilberforce died in London at the age of 73 years, three days after the Bill for the Abolition of Slavery has been passed in the House of Commons. As an MP he had worked tirelessly in this cause and lived to see his life's work completed.
On 29th July 1945, Robert Alexander Jaffray died in a Japanese concentration camp at the age of 72 years. Born in Toronto, Canada, he was a missionary to China, Indonesia and several other countries with The Christian & Missionary Alliance, living for forty years in Wuchow, South China. In 1931 he moved to Indonesia.
