Today God says:
"Nothing is too hard for Me".
He promises me:
"Is anything too hard for the Lord?". (Gen. 18:14)
My response to the word:
This verse is set in the context of the Lord promising Isaac to Abraham and Sarah. Sarah responded by laughing and saying, "Shall I really bear a child, as I am old?". She had doubt concerning God's word to her. The Lord responded to her question with a rhetorical question (one which does not require an answer): "Is anything too hard for the Lord?". I know the answer - nothing, absolutely nothing is too hard for my God.
My prayer:
Almighty God, you are able to do anything. I will never doubt your Word, because I know you are "able to do exceedingly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us".
Today's scriptures:
"God will give you His constantly overflowing kindness. Then, when you always have everything you need, you can do more and more good things". (2 Cor. 9:8 GW) "Glory belongs to God, whose power is at work in us. By this power He can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine". (Eph. 3:20 GW) "God can guard you so that you don't fall and so that you can be full of joy as you stand in His glorious presence without fault". (Jude 24)
Quote for today:
Nothing lies beyond the reach of prayer except that which lies outside the will of God. (Anon)
On this day:

On 25th March 1906, Dawson Earle Trotman, was born at Bisbee, Arizona. When he was 20, he made a lasting commitment to Christ. While a California truck driver, he began to disciple sailors. Out of this came the organization of The Navigators, with its emphasis on evangelism and discipleship. Many years later, at Schroon Lake, New York, a girl fell overboard from one of the speed boats, and Dawson Trotman jumped in, kept her afloat until she was rescued, but himself slipped beneath the waters and drowned.
