Today God says:
"My words are life and health to you"

He promises me:
"My son, attend to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those that find them, and health to all their flesh". (Prov. 4:20-22)

My response to the word:
God's words are contained in His Word - the Bible. He wants me to keep His words before my eyes and within my heart. I will commit His Word to memory, because I know that the Word of God is life and health to me. My faith in God increases in direct proportion to my knowledge of His Word. I will study God's Word and meditate upon it throughout this day.

My prayer:
Lord, thank you for your abiding Word which gives me faith, wisdom, life and health. I will walk in its light throughout this day.

Today's scriptures:
"The promises of the Lord are pure, like silver refined in a furnace and purified seven times". (Ps. 12:6 GW) "With faith and love for Christ Jesus, consider what you heard me say to be the pattern of accurate teachings". (2 Tim. 1:13 GW)

Quote for today:
A readiness to believe every promise implicitly, to obey every command unhesitatingly, to stand perfect and complete in all the will of God, is the only true spirit of Bible study. (Andrew Murray)
