<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "My kingdom is an everlasting kingdom".

He promises me:
  "Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. The Lord upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down". (Ps. 145:13,14)

My response to the word:
  God is the King in charge of the only eternal kingdom. His dominion will never end. His kingdom knows no bounds. He rules the universe, and His kingdom is above me, around me, and within me, because I am His subject. I will let Him rule and reign in my life today.

My prayer:
  Lord, you are the King of kings and the Lord of lords. I give you full control of my life this day.

Today's scriptures:
 "Your son will be king of Jacob's people forever, and His kingdom will never end", (Luke 1:33 GW) "God's kingdom consists of God's approval and peace, as well as the joy that the Holy Spirit gives. The person who serves Christ with this in mind is pleasing to God and respected by people". (Rom. 14:17,18 GW) "God has rescued us from the power of darkness and has brought us into the kingdom of His Son, whom He loves". (Col. 1:13 GW)

Quote for today:
Are you satisfied with Christ? If you are not, you have not really got Him. If you have got Him, He is everything to you. (Charles Spurgeon)

On this day:
On 1st April 1827, John Coleridge Patteson was born in London. He was ordained in the Church of England in 1854, but hungered to work as a missionary. When he arrived in Auckland, New Zealand, the following year, he would never return home. He worked in the South Pacific Islands, sharing the Gospel, which transformed many lives. In 1857, at age 31, he visited 66 islands in one year. Patteson founded a training school at Norfolk Island in 1867. On his final visit to the Santa Cruz Islands (1871), he was clubbed and speared to death by natives outraged at kidnappings of their fellow men by white traders
