<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "Jesus became poor so that you could become rich".

He promises me:
  "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might be rich". (2 Cor. 8:9)

My response to the word:
  God's grace is so wonderful. He sent His only Son, my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, from the riches of heaven to the poverty of the human condition so that I could be enriched through faith in Him. Even though I may or may not be rich in the things of this world, I possess the unsearchable riches of Christ.

My prayer:
  Heavenly Father, thank you for blessing me with so many riches. The greatest treasure of all is to know Jesus Christ. He has truly made me rich, and I will remember the riches He has blessed me with throughout this day.

Today's scriptures:
 "I pray that the glorious Father, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know Christ better. Then you will have a deeper insight. You will know the confidence that He calls you to have and the glorious wealth that God's people will inherit". (Eph. 1:17,18 GW) "God showed His kindness by allowing me to spread the Good News of the immeasurable wealth of Christ". (Eph. 3:8 GW) "I'm asking God to give you a gift from the wealth of His glory. I pray that He would give you inner strength and power through His Spirit". (Eph. 3:16 GW)

Quote for today:
The man who is poor in spirit is the man who has realized that things mean nothing, and that God means everything. (William Barclay)
