<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "My wisdom gives you happiness".

He promises me:
  "Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain than fine gold". (Prov. 3:13-14)

My response to the word:
  God promises to give me His wisdom if I will seek it. His Word declares, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men liberally, and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, without wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven by the wind and tossed". I will ask for God's wisdom throughout this day, and I know the end result will be happiness.

My prayer:
  All-wise heavenly Father, thank you for your promises of wisdom and happiness. Thank you for showing me that wisdom and happiness are inseparable, that I can't have one without the other. I will walk in your wisdom throughout this day.

Today's scriptures:
 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Good sense is shown by everyone who follows God's guiding principles". (Ps. 111:10 GW) "The beginning of wisdom is to acquire wisdom. Acquire understanding with all that you have". (Prov. 4:7 GW) "When you ask for something, don't have any doubts. A person who has doubts is like a wave that is blown by the wind and tossed by the sea". (James 1:6 GW)

Quote for today:
Some people make use of Christ's gospel to illuminate their heads, instead of making use of it to illuminate their hearts. (Charles Spurgeon)
