Today God says:
"My words are life to you".
He promises me:
"My son, attend to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those that find them, and health to all their flesh". (Prov. 4:20-22)
My response to the word:
I will obey the words of the Lord throughout this day because I know they will give me life and health. I will study the Word of the Lord, and always endeavour to walk in His paths. The Bible is a living book, and its words impart spiritual life and health to me. The Word of God contains the vitamins for a happy, healthy, and contented life.
My prayer:
Thank you for your Word, heavenly Father. I will walk in its life, health, and strength throughout this day. Your words are life and health to me.
Today's scriptures:
"Everything God created is good. Nothing should be rejected if it is received with prayers of thanks. The Word of God and prayer set it apart as holy". (1 Tim. 4:4,5 GW) "God's Word is living and active. It is sharper than any two-edged sword". (Heb. 4:12 GW) "So get rid of all immoral behaviour and all the wicked things you do. Humbly accept the word that God has placed in you. This word can save you". (James 1:21 GW)
Quote for today:
The Bible will keep you from sin, or sin will keep you from the Bible. (D L Moody)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
