Today God says:
"You belong to Christ".
He promises me:
"Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come, all are yours; and you are Christ's; and Christ is God's". (1 Cor. 3:22,23)
My response to the word:
God blesses me with so much. The greatest blessing of all, however, is that I belong to Christ. He redeemed me with His blood. He loved me so much that He laid down His life for me. Throughout this day, I will remember these important words, "Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own? For you were bought with a price".
My prayer:
Dear Lord, I believe that Jesus Christ died for me, and I have trusted Him for my salvation. Now I belong to Him, and I love Him with all my heart. Thank you for sending your Son to die for me.
Today's scriptures:
"Brothers and sisters, because of God's compassion toward us, I encourage you to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, dedicated to God and pleasing to Him. This kind of worship is appropriate for you. Don't become like the people of this world. Instead, change the way you think". (Rom. 12:1,2 GW) "You don't belong to yourselves. You were bought with a price. So bring glory to God in the way you use your body". (1 Cor. 6:20 GW) "You were bought with a price. Don't become anyone's slaves". (1 Cor. 7:23 GW)
Quote for today:
To be called to follow Christ is a high honour; higher indeed than any honour men can bestow upon each other. (A W Tozer)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
