Today God says:
"I have redeemed you from the hand of the enemy".
He promises me:
"O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy endures for ever: Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy". (Ps. 107:1,2)
My response to the word:
God has redeemed me from the hand of the enemy. Satan is a defeated foe. I no longer live in the kingdom of darkness; I live in the Kingdom of God. Satan had me bound, but Jesus set me free. Therefore, I will obey His Word which tells me to "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage". Throughout this day I will stand fast, and I will tell others about the Lord's redemption in my life.
My prayer:
Thank you, Lord, for redeeming me. Your Son, my Saviour, Jesus Christ paid the price for me. His blood cleanses me from all sin. I will walk in spiritual freedom throughout this day.
Today's scriptures:
"Christ has freed us so that we may enjoy the benefits of freedom. Therefore, be firm in this freedom, and don't become slaves again". (Gal. 5:1 GW) "Through the blood of His Son, we are set free from our sins. God forgives our failures because of His overflowing kindness". (Eph. 1:7 GW) "God has rescued us from the power of darkness and has brought us into the kingdom of His Son, whom He loves". (Col. 1:13 GW) "But if we live in the light in the same way that God is in the light, we have a relationship with each other. And the blood of His Son Jesus cleanses us from every sin". (1 John 1:7 GW)
Quote for today:
I have never despaired of the salvation of any man since the Lord saved me. I know no heart that God cannot win if He could conquer mine. (Charles Spurgeon)
On this day:
