<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "I have reserved an incorruptible inheritance in heaven for you".

He promises me:
  "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has given us a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, reserved in heaven for you". (1 Peter 1:3,4)

My response to the word:
  As a believer, I have so much to look forward to. Jesus has already prepared a place for me in heaven. I like what one man said about the believer's eternal destiny, "If you wish to dwell in the house of many mansions, you must make your reservation in advance". Through faith, I have placed my trust in Christ for salvation, and He promises me that He has reserved an incorruptible and unfading inheritance in heaven for me.

My prayer:
  Lord God, thank you for the wonderful promise of heaven. I look forward to spending all eternity in your presence, and I will begin by living in your presence today.

Today's scriptures:
 "Don't be troubled. Believe in God, and believe in Me. My Father's house has many rooms. If that were not true, would I have told you that I'm going to prepare a place for you? If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again. Then I will bring you into My presence so that you will be where I am". (John 14:1-3 GW) "You will also thank the Father, who has made you able to share the light, which is what God's people inherit". (Col. 1:11 GW)

Quote for today:
At the close of every obituary of His believing children, God adds the word 'henceforth'. There will be a tomorrow and this is a reason for Christian joy. (A W Tozer)
