Today God says:
"My Word is settled forever in heaven".
He promises me:
"For ever, O Lord, your word is settled in heaven. Your faithfulness is unto all generations; you have established the earth, and it abides". (Ps. 119:89,90)
My response to the word:
The Word of God is a solid rock on which I stand. I take my stand upon the Word today, realizing that all other ground is sinking sand. God's Word never changes, and I know I can depend upon His Word throughout this day. Three great sins of this age are indifference to, neglect of, and disrespect for the Word of God. I choose to make the Bible my rule for faith and living throughout this day.
My prayer:
Lord, thank you for your Word which is forever settled in heaven. I treasure your Word, and I will live according to its promises and precepts throughout this day.
Today's scriptures:
"God's way is perfect! The promise of the Lord has been proven to be true. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in Him". (Ps. 18:30 GW) "Your Word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path". (Ps. 119:105 GW) "In the beginning the Word already existed, The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was already with God in the beginning". (John 1:1 GW)
Quote for today:
The Bible, God's inerrant Word, is forever true whether or not anyone reads or believes it; but it becomes of value to you when you get hold of it for yourself. (Robert Cook)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
