<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "There is no condemnation when you walk in the Spirit".

He promises me:
  "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit". (Rom. 8:1)

My response to the word:
  I will walk in the Spirit throughout this day. In so doing, I know I will avoid all condemnation. Condemnation comes when a person walks in the flesh. I will remember the word of the Apostle Paul, "For those that are of the flesh do the things of the flesh, but those who are of the Spirit care about the things of the Spirit. for to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace".

My prayer:
  Lord, thank you for freeing me from the condemnation that comes from fleshly living. You have given me a completely new perspective, and I choose the spiritual-mindedness that enables me to experience your life and peace this day. With your help, I will walk in the Spirit each step of the way.

Today's scriptures:
 "Jesus said, 'I don't condemn you either. Go! From now on don't sin". (John 8:11 GW) "The corrupt nature's attitude leads to death. But the spiritual nature's attitude leads to life and peace". (Rom. 8:6 GW) "Dear friends, if our conscience doesn't condemn us, we can boldly look to God and receive from Him anything we ask". (1 John 3:21,22 GW)

Quote for today:
Who is free from defects? He lacks everything who thinks he lacks nothing. (Bernard of Clairvaux)

On this day:
On 20th May 1690, John Eliot, colonial missionary to the American Indians of Maryland, died aged 86. Eliot arrived in America from England in 1631; by 1663 he had translated the entire Bible into the Algonquin Indian language.
