Today God says:
"You have eternal life".
He promises me:
"And this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent". (John 17:13)
My response to the word:
Because I know God and His Son, Jesus Christ, I know I have eternal life. I want to know God better, and throughout this day I will seek to know Him, whom to know is life eternal. "And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; and he who does not have the Son of God does not have life".
My prayer:
Loving Father, thank you for giving me eternal life through Jesus Christ, my Lord. It is so liberating and empowering to know that I will never perish, but live forever with you.
Today's scriptures:
"God loved the world this way: He gave His only Son so that everyone who believes in Him will not die but will have eternal life". (John 3:16 GW) "This is eternal life: to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent". (John 17:3 GW) "My message is based on the confidence of eternal life. God, who never lies, promised this eternal life before the world began". (Titus 1:2 GW) "God has given us eternal life, and this life is found in His Son". (1 John 5:11 GW)

On 29th May 1837, Charles William Fry was born in England. Converted at age 17 in a Weslyan chapel in Salisbury, he followed his father's vocation as a builder. He had learned to play the cornet skillfully and taught his sons to play brass instruments. When the Salvation Army began its work in Salisbury in 1878, Fry and his sons offered their services to play at the outdoor meetings. This marked the beginning of the Salvation Army's brass bands, and it was immediately successful. Fry then devoted himself full time to the Salvation Army. Two years later, he died. He wrote the lovely hymn "The Lily of the Valley," as his personal testimony: He died in Polmont, Stirlingshire, Scotland.
On 29th May 1841, Robert Anderson was born in Dublin. He became the second Assistant Commissioner of the London Metropolitan Police from 1888 to 1901.and became Sir Robert on his retirement. He spoke and wrote widely on bible teaching, with prophecy as one of his major concerns. He died in 1918.
