Today God says:
"If you ask anything according to My will, I will hear your prayer".
He promises me:
"And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us". (1 John 5:14)
My response to the word:
God hears my prayers when I pray according to His will. His will is fully revealed in His Word. Therefore, when I pray according to His Word, and especially when I actually pray His Word, I can be certain that He is hearing my prayer. He promises me, "So shall my Word be that goes out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and shall prosper in the thing to which I sent it". God responds to His Word.
My prayer:
Father, reveal your will to me in every area of my life so that I will know how to pray accordingly. Thank you for your Word which reveals your will and shows me how to pray.
Today's scriptures:
"My Word, which comes from My mouth, is like the rain and snow. It will not come back to me without results, but it will accomplish whatever I want and achieve whatever I sent it to do". (Isa. 55:11 GW) "Don't become like the people of this world. Instead, change the way you think. Then you will always be able to determine what God really wants - what is good, pleasing, and perfect". (Rom. 12:2 GW)
Quote for today:
More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of. (Alfred, Lord Tennyson)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".

On 30th May 1416, Jerome of Prague became a martyr for his faith. Born in 1370 in Prague, then in the Kingdom of Bohemia, he studied in Prague and Oxford where he became familiar with the teachings of John Wycliffe. He was constantly in and out of jail and his radical ideas eventually brought about his death by execution as a heretic to the church, but made him a martyr for the Protestant Reformation.
