Today God says:
"My kingdom is not meat and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit".
He promises me:
"For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit". (Rom. 14:17)
My response to the word:
God has accepted me into His kingdom where righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit form the environment. Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords in my life, and I submit myself to His Lordship throughout this day. The righteousness, peace, and joy I experience in His kingdom make life worthwhile for me.
My prayer:
Father, thank you for your gifts of righteousness, peace, and joy which enable me to experience full kingdom-living in the here-and-now. I will walk in those attributes throughout this day as I submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Today's scriptures:
"My kingdom doesn't belong to this world". (John 18:36 GW) "God's kingdom is not just talk, it is power". (1 Cor. 4:20 GW) "On His clothes and on His thigh He has a name written: King of Kings and Lord of Lords". (Rev. 19:16 GW)
Quote for today:
Joy is the flag that's flying when the King is on the throne. (Mary Crowley)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
