<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "I have called you into liberty".

He promises me:
  "For, brethren, you have been called unto liberty; only do not use your liberty for an occasion for the flesh, but by love serve one another". (Gal. 5:13)

My response to the word:
  God has called me into spiritual freedom. This glorious liberty is not to be used in a selfish manner, but in love. Love fulfils all the law. In the light of this, therefore, I will walk in love throughout this day. The Bible admonishes me to love my neighbours and my enemies, and I will endeavour to do this throughout this day.

My prayer:
  Lord God, thank you for the freedom you have given to me. I will walk in your freedom and your love throughout this day.

Today's scriptures:
 "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free". (John 8:32 GW) "This Lord is the Spirit. Wherever the Lord's Spirit is, there is freedom". (2 Cor. 3:17 GW) "Christ has freed us so that we may enjoy the benefits of freedom. Therefore, be firm in this freedom, and don't become slaves again". (Gal. 5:1 GW)

Quote for today:
People are not interested in religion but in reality. (Henrietta Mears)

On this day:
On 15th June 1215, King John signs the Magna Carta at Runneymede, England. It is recognized as a cornerstone of the idea of the liberty of citizens, and guarantees the rights of justice and a fair trial. Everyone is subject to the law, even the king.

"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
