<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "I have raised you up and seated you with Christ Jesus in the heavenly places".

He promises me:
  "And has raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus; that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness to us through Christ Jesus". (Eph. 2:6,7)

My response to the word:
  God has raised me up to the level where I sit with Christ Jesus in heavenly places. This is wonderful. The reason He did this was so that He would be able to show the exceeding riches of His grace toward me through Christ Jesus. God's wonderful grace is greater than all my sin, and it enables me to rise above life's circumstances, into a spiritual realm where all is peace and joy.

My prayer:
  Heavenly Father, thank you for raising me up and seating me with Christ Jesus in heavenly places. I pray to know fully the exceeding riches of your grace through Christ Jesus.

Today's scriptures:
 "Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Through Christ, God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing that heaven has to offer". (Eph. 1:3 GW) "God also decided ahead of time to choose us through Christ according to His plan, which makes everything work the way He intends. He planned all of this so that we who had already focused our hope on Christ would praise Him and give Him glory". (Eph. 1:11,12 GW) "You will also know the unlimited greatness of His power as it works with might and strength for us, the believers". (Eph. 1:19 GW)

Quote for today:
Part of what it means to be God's children is to accept that He knows, and that He will bring what is best into our lives - not what we want every time, but what is ultimately best for us. (Charles Paul Conn)

On this day:

On 19th June 1834, Charles Spurgeon was born at Kelvedon, Essex, England. He became a pastor at 18 years, later pastoring the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London when it was built in 1860.
