<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "Salvation is My gift to you".

He promises me:
  "For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any mans should boast". (Eph. 2:8,9)

My response to the word:
  God has saved me by His grace through faith. His grace is the unmerited favour He has bestowed on my life. I do not deserve His great salvation, but He has chosen to give it to me freely. The Word tells me, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God". Then it proclaims His grace to me, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord". I will never forget "the exceeding riches of His grace" that I have so freely received.

My prayer:
  Heavenly Father, thank you for your grace which saves me from all my sin. I know I have been saved by your grace through faith. Thank you for the gift of eternal life.

Today's scriptures:
 "Because all people have sinned, they have fallen short of God's glory". (Rom. 3:23 GW) "The reward for sin is death, but the gift that God freely gives is everlasting life in Christ Jesus our Lord". (Rom. 6:23 GW) "God saved you through faith as an act of kindness. You had nothing to do with it. Being saved is a gift from God". (Eph. 2:8 GW)

Quote for today:
Salvation is not turning over a new leaf but receiving a new life. (Unknown)

On this day:
On 20th June 1885. a band of Moravian missionaries landed on the shores of Alaska and founded the Bethel Mission. During the first year of their mission work among the eskimos, winter temperatures outside their makeshift housing plummeted to 50 degrees below zero!
