Today God says:
"My grace is sufficient for you".
He promises me:
"My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me". (2 Cor. 12:9)
My response to the word:
God's strength is made perfect in my weakness. Therefore, I will let my weakness lead me to Him so that I can receive His strength. I know that God's grace is totally sufficient for me. I do not have to walk in my own strength because the power of Christ rests upon me. True greatness does not lie in being strong, but in knowing how to rely on God's strength. I will rely on God's strength throughout this day.
My prayer:
God, you are perfectly strong. When I come to the end of my way, I realize that it is a wonderful opportunity to prove your strength. Thank you for your all-sufficient grace which is at work in my life.
Today's scriptures:
"But God is rich in mercy because of His great love for us. We were dead because of our failures, but He made us alive together with Christ. (It is God's kindness that saved you)". (Eph. 2:4,5 GW) "God our Father loved us and by His kindness gave us everlasting encouragement and good hope". (2 Thess. 2:16 GW) "After all, God's saving kindness has appeared for the benefit of all people". (Titus 2:11 GW)
Quote for today:
The supreme qualification for Christian work of any kind is contentment to work in shadow, so long as Christ is seen in the light. (A E Gould)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
