Today God says:
"Set your affection on things above".
He promises me:
"If you are risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits at the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth". (Col. 3:1-3)
My response to the word:
I am in Christ and He is in me. I have been raised with Him. Therefore, I will set my mind on heavenly things not earthly things. I reckon myself to be dead to sin and alive to God through Jesus Christ. Throughout this day I rejoice that my life is safely hid with Christ in God.
My prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for the power of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ which enables me to keep focused on heavenly things rather than the things of this earth. I praise you, Lord, that death no longer has any sting for me because you have given me the victory through Jesus Christ, my Lord.
Today's scriptures:
"Instead, store up treasure for yourselves in heaven, where moths and rust don't destroy and thieves don't break in and steal". (Matt. 6:20 GW) "If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again. Then I will bring you into My presence so that you will be where I am". (John 14:3 GW)
Quote for today:
To become Christlike is the only thing in the whole world worth caring for. (Henry Drummond)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
