<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are found in Jesus Christ"

He promises me:
  "In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge". (Col. 2:3)

My response to the word:
  Jesus is my wisdom. In Him I find all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. It is knowledge in action. I will apply my knowledge of God's Word by walking in His wisdom throughout this day. I realize that my discovery of God's wisdom and knowledge is one of the best discoveries I've ever made.

My prayer:
  Lord, Your Word promises me that you will give me wisdom. I ask for it now, in faith, nothing wavering. Thank you, Amen

Today's scriptures:
 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Good sense is shown by everyone who follows God's guiding principles". (Ps. 111:10 GW) "The Lord gives wisdom. From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He has reserved priceless wisdom for decent people". (Prov. 2:6 GW) "Wisdom finds rest in the heart of an understanding person". (Prov. 14:33 GW) "If any of you needs wisdom to know what you should do, you should ask God, and He will give it to you. (James 1:5 GW)

Quote for today:
The Bible is a book of prayers. Out of 667 recorded prayers, there are 454 recorded answers. (Defender)

On this day:
On 17th July 1674, Isaac Watts was born in Southampton. As a teenager he complained about the music in church. His father retorted, "Then write something better". Isaac wrote over 450 hymns during his life, many of which have lasted until today. His hymns include "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross", "Joy to the World", "Our God, Our Help in Ages Past". For many years he was pastor of a large independent chapel in London, Mark Lane Congregational Chapel. He died in 1748 in Stoke Newington, London at age 74 years.
