Today God says:
"My mercy endures forever"
He promises me:
"O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good: because His mercy endures for ever. Let Israel now say, that His mercy endures for ever". (Ps. 118:1-2)
My response to the word:
My favourite attitude is gratitude. Truly I have so much to be thankful for. God's mercies do endure forever, and His mercies have enabled me to find abundant and eternal life. Throughout this day I will obey the Word of God which directs me, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service".
My prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for the multitude of mercies you've extended to me. I present my body as a living sacrifice to you because I know this is my reasonable service of worship to you.
Today's scriptures:
"Do not let mercy and truth leave you. Fasten them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart". (Prov. 3:3 GW) "Blessed are those who show mercy. They will be treated mercifully". (Matt. 5:7 GW) "Brothers and sisters, because of God's compassion toward us, I encourage you to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, dedicated to God and pleasing to Him". (Rom. 12:1 GW)
Quote for today:
Our prayer and God's mercy are like two buckets in a well; while the one ascends, the other descends. (Mark Hopkins)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
