<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "Keep your heart with all diligence"

He promises me:
  "Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life". (Prov. 4:23)

My response to the word:
  God expects me to keep a watch over my own heart and spirit because this is the place where He resides. His indwelling presence gives me the strength I need to face the challenges of each day. Throughout this day I will endeavour to make sure that the attitudes and thoughts of my heart are in line with His will for me. I will keep my heart with all diligence.

My prayer:
  Father, help me to keep my heart with all diligence throughout this day. Give me your grace to keep my heart pure.

Today's scriptures:
 "My heart is confident, O God. I want to sing and make music even with my soul". (Ps. 108:1 GW) "Blessed are those who obey His written instructions. They wholeheartedly search for Him". (Ps. 119.2 GW) "A joyful heart is good medicine, but depression drains one's strength". (Prov. 17:22 GW)

Quote for today:
There are three people living in each of us: the one we think we are, the one other people think we are, and the one God knows we are. (Leonard Ravenhill)

On this day:
On 31st July 1970, the complete New American Standard Version of the Bible (NASB) was first published. The completed NASB New Testament had been released earlier in 1963.
