Today God says:
"Let the mind of Jesus Christ be within you".
He promises me:
"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus". (Phil. 2:5)
My response to the word:
Rational thinking may take me to the foot of the mountain, but it is only faith that will take me to the top! Faith comes from the Word of God which represents the mind of Jesus Christ. By letting His word saturate my heart and mind I allow the mind of Christ to dominate my thoughts.
My prayer:
Lord, let the mind of Christ govern my thoughts and words as I go about my daily activities. Span the gap between my thoughts and your thoughts.
Today's scriptures:
"Who has known the mind of the Lord so that he can teach him? However, we have the mind of Christ." (1 Cor. 2:16 GW) "God didn't give us a cowardly spirit but a spirit of power, love, and good judgment". (2 Tim. 1:7 GW) "I will put my teachings inside them, and I will write those teachings on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people". (Hebr. 8:10 GW)
Quote for today:
The Word of God well understood and religiously obeyed is the shortest route to spiritual perfection. (A W Tozer)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
