Today God says:
"The name of Jesus is above every name".
He promises me:
"Wherefore God also has highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father". (Phil. 2:9-11)
My response to the word:
The name of Jesus is the most pre-eminent name in the entire universe. One day every knee will bow at His name, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. This will bring glory to my Father in heaven. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour, and I will proclaim His all-powerful name wherever I go.
My prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for Jesus Christ, and for the power of His name. When I pray in the name of Jesus, demons flee, and I experience joy and my prayers are answered. Thank you, Lord.
Today's scriptures:
"To God's church that was made holy by Christ Jesus and called to be God's holy people in the city of Corinth and to people everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ". (1 Cor. 1:2 GW) "He is far above all rulers, authorities, powers, lords, and all other names that can be named, not only in this present world but also in the world to come". (Eph. 1:21 GW) "Everything you say or do should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him". (Col. 3:17 GW)
Quote for today:
Jesus Christ turns life right-side-up, and heaven outside-in. (Carl Henry)
