<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "Let My Word dwell in you richly".

He promises me:
  "Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom" (Col. 3:16)

My response to the word:
  The Word of God is the greatest resource I have on this earth. It reveals the Father's will to me. I will pray the Word, meditate upon it, let its truths soak into my spirit, walk according to its principles, memorize its verses, and keep it hidden in my heart. The result will be victory, power, strength, cleansing, renewal, trust, faith, and hope. I will walk in God's Word today as I let it dwell in me richly.

My prayer:
  Father, thank you for your Word which dwells in me richly in all wisdom. I will let its riches and wisdom be a great treasure in my life.

Today's scriptures:
 "In their distress they cried out to the Lord. He saved them from their troubles". (Ps. 107:19 GW) "Grass dries up, and flowers wither, but the Word of our God will last forever". (Isa. 40:8 GW) "In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God". (John 1:1 GW)

Quote for today:
Bible study is like eating peanuts. The more you eat, the more you want to eat. (Paul Little)

On this day:
On 10th August 1841, Mary Artemisia Lathbury was born in Manchester, New York. The daughter of a Methodist minister, she became involved in many denominational activities. We remember her for some poems that became hymns: "Break Thou the Bread of Life," and "Day Is Dying in the West."

"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
