Today God says:
"Seek Me, and you shall live"
He promises me:
"For thus says the Lord unto the house of Israel, 'Seek me, and you will live". (Amos 5:4)
My response to the word:
Before I knew the Lord I wasn't truly alive. When He called me out of the world, I walked into a whole new life. Christianity truly is the land of new beginnings, and each new day is a new adventure with Christ. He has given me newness of life, abundant life, and eternal life. He is life to me.
My prayer:
Lord, thank you for the gift of life. As I seek you today I know you will bless me with newness of life. I will walk in newness of life throughout this day.
Today's scriptures:
"If you look for the Lord your God when you are among those nations, you will find Him whenever you search for Him with all your heart and with all your soul". (Deut. 4:29 GW) "Search for the Lord and His strength. Always seek His presence". (1 Chron. 16:11 GW) "When you call to me, I will answer you. I will be with you when you are in trouble". (Ps. 91:15 GW)
Quote for today:
One might better try to sail the Atlantic in a paper boat than to get to heaven in good works. (Charles Spurgeon)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
