<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "I will hear you in times of trouble"

He promises me:
  "The Lord hears you in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee" (Ps. 20:1)

My response to the word:
  In times of trouble I know the Lord will hear me when I call to Him. He promises to help me and to defend me. Therefore, I know that no matter what may come my way, God will be there to protect me. It is when I think I can handle my difficulties without God that I get into trouble.

My prayer:
  Lord, thank you for being my refuge in times of trouble. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayers.

Today's scriptures:
 "Know that the Lord singles out godly people for Himself. The Lord hears me when I call to Him". (Ps. 4:3 GW) "In the morning, O Lord, hear my voice. In the morning I lay my needs in front of you and I wait". (Ps. 5:3 GW) "We are confident that God listens to us if we ask anything that has His approval". (1 John 5:14 GW)

Quote for today:
I do not pray for a lighter load, but for a stronger back. (Phillips Brooks)
