Today God says:
"I am your Shepherd".
He promises me:
"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters". (Ps. 23:1,2)
My response to the word:
A shepherd is one who guides, guards, nurtures, and protects the sheep. I am happy to be a sheep who is in the care of the Good Shepherd. The Lord is my Shepherd, and He is so committed to me that He laid down his life for me. Jesus said, "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the Sheep".
My prayer:
Lord, thank you for being my Shepherd. Because of your constant care in my life, I know all my need will be met.
Today's scriptures:
"I am the good shepherd. I know my sheep as the Father knows me. My sheep know me as I know the Father". (John 10:14 GW) "You were like lost sheep. Now you have come back to the shepherd and bishop of your lives". (1 Peter 2:25 GW)
Quote for today:
Don't bother to give God instructions; just report for duty. (Corrie Ten Boom)
On this day:
"Scriptures are taken from the King James Bible or those marked (GW) are from the God's Word Translation, used with permission".
