<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "Walk in faithfulness, and you will abound with blessings"

He promises me:
  "A faithful man shall abound with blessings, but he that makes haste to be rich shall not be innocent". (Prov. 28:20)

My response to the word:
  The word "faithful" literally means to be full of faith. A faithful person is so full of faith that he or she is steady in his or her commitments to God, self, and others. Faithfulness is a fruit of the Spirit: "but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law".

My prayer:
  Heavenly Father, thank you for being faithful to me. I want to be faithful to you. Help me to walk in faithfulness throughout this day.

Today's scriptures:
 "I will sing forever about the evidence of your mercy, O Lord. I will tell about your faithfulness to every generation". (Ps. 89:1 GW) "His compassion is never limited. It is new every morning. His faithfulness is great". (Lam. 3:22,23 GW)

Quote for today:
Faith is the refusal to panic. (Martyn Lloyd-Jones)

On this day:
On 18th September 1765, Oliver Holden was born in Boston. In Charlestown, Massachusetts, he became a carpenter. After acquiring property, he began dealing in real estate. He built a Puritan church and became its pastor. His love for music led him to publish several hymn books and to write music. We sing "All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name" to a tune he wrote.
